About Us
Established out of a need for clean, renewable energy solutions in South Africa, Eden Bay District Electrical has provided over 20 years of electrical contracting in the Plettenberg Bay area. We specialize in upmarket, luxury housing, and pride ourselves on offering an energy-efficient installation that will be fault-free and easy to use; this is why some of the biggest building contractors in Plettenberg Bay choose to work with us. In addition to the luxury housing sector, we also provide solar PV installations to the public, ranging from back-up power, all the way up to fully off-grid solutions. Eden Bay District Electrical is fully registered with all relevant labour and electrical authorities.

Martin Coetzee
Director
Martin moved to Plettenberg Bay in 1973 with his family who are in the construction industry. Growing up in the industry meant that he was able to develop a thorough working knowledge of construction from a very young age. After studying electrical trade theory, electronic light currents and computer programming, Martin went on to work for a well-known Plett-based electrical company as a foreman, before starting his own business in 1997.
Steve Harington
Director
Steve Harington joined Eden Bay District Electrical as Martin’s business partner in 2008. He works on-site, managing the construction sites and staff while Martin does the planning, quoting, collection of payments, and oversees the running of all projects.
